Yes, you've read that right. Machine Gun Kelly is heading to WWE 2K22.

2K have enlisted the likes of Machine Gun Kelly as Executive Producer of WWE 2K22's soundtrack. Alongside this, it seems the musician will also be added as a playable character at some point in the game's future.

WWE 2K22 is currently scheduled for a March 11 release date for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Yesterday, 2K Sports released a brief teaser showing off just some of the songs set to head to the game, including:

  • Machine Gun Kelly - "Concert for Aliens"
  • Machine Gun Kelly ft. YUNGBLUD & Bert McCracken - "Body Bag"
  • Wu Tang Clan - "Protect Ya Neck"
  • Motorhead - "Iron Fist"
  • Poppy - "Say Cheese" (Live NXT version)
  • Royal Blood - "Typhoons"
  • Bring Me The Horizon - "Happy Song"
  • The Weeknd - "Heartless"
  • Turnstile - "I Don't Wanna Be Blind"
  • Asking Alexandria - "The Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel)”
  • KennyHoopla - "Hollywood Sucks"

It's unclear exactly when we'll see Machine Gun Kelly added to the game, only that he'll be available as part of a future DLC pack. As a known wrestling fan, perhaps it's not so bizarre that MGK will be making his (virtual) wrestling debut. Though how he'll stack up to the professionals can only be imagined, for now.

It looks like we'll be seeing more of Machine Gun Kelly in the build-up to WWE 2K22's release on March 11, 2022. So, do with that what you will.

In other 2K news, the studio is set to be partnering with Lego on a series of sports games, with the first title gearing up to be a soccer game.
