MAD Lions are in discussions with Polish veteran Paweł "innocent" Mocek about joining their active roster, according to multiple sources close to the situation. Should innocent join, he would fill the spot on the roster left vacant by Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen ,who recently joined Astralis.
Innocent has been playing CS:GO professionally since its inception and is most known for his time with G2 Esports, Team Kinguin, and Sprout. His best result as a player came in 2016 with Dobry&Gaming, which was a third place finish in the StarLadder Invitational against Natus Vincere. At the moment, he is playing for Illuminar Gaming with former Virtus.pro star Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski.
Originally, MAD Lions were in discussions with Swedish rifler Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson, but they were unable to come to an agreement, as first reported by HLTV. After resuming their search for a fifth player, they have now landed upon innocent. With the ESL One: Cologne Roster lock taking place today, not much time is left for discussion.
MAD Lions won FLASHPOINT Season 1, which marks the only time they reached the finals of any tournament they have played in CS:GO history. The move came after they replaced in-game leader Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen with Asger "AcilioN" Larsen. Prior to that victory, they finished in the semifinals of DreamHack Open Sevilla, Leipzig, and the ICE Challenge 2020.
MAD Lions declined comment.
