Madden ratings adjusters are infamously known for not making the smartest decisions when it comes to recognizing players that are on an absolute tear. We already talked about Derrick Henry and Budda Baker getting snubbed with their overall ratings. But there is one more player to add to the Madden 21 disrespected list. Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.
Jefferson, the rookie wide receiver out of LSU, had nine receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. On the year he has 28 receptions for 537 yards and three touchdowns. His reception yards currently position him fifth in the NFL. But his Madden rating is only a 76.
EA Sports typically goes pretty strict on rookies and their overall ratings, which is completely fair as the players have not gotten a chance to prove themselves among the big boys. But after six weeks in the league, Jefferson has proven himself among the top echelon of wide receivers in the NFL.
Madden 21 Week 6 Roster Update: 3 Players Who Deserve Upgraded
It does seem that Madden rating adjusters agree that Budda Baker requires an upgrade. Against the Dallas Cowboys, Baker became the first Arizona Cardinals player since 2003 to record a sack, forced fumble and an interception in a single game.
Derrick Henry continues his assault on NFL defenders. Against the Houston Texans, he had 22 carries for 212 yards and two touchdowns.
Although, this is not very convincing that the King is going to receive an overall boost. The conversation on Twitter is to make Henry the next member of the 99 overall club, and he has the vote of many.
