EA Sports FC 24 Team of the Year is around the corner as fans prepare of the most anticipated promotion in Ultimate Team. A major leak from one of the community's most trusted sources detailed what many expected for this year's iteration.

According to FutSheriff, FC 24 Team of the Year will feature two promotional squads for the first time ever: one men's team and one women's team. Last year included Campaign Icons for the first time, but given the frequency of Campaign Heroes and Icons this year it was likely EA Sports skipped on both this year.

This will be the first time FIFA/FC Ultimate Team will have two actual TOTY squads. Other inclusions like the previously mentioned TOTY Icons and Honorable Mentions have widened the player pool in the past, but those cards mostly paled in comparison to the actual TOTY cards. With how popular women have been since their inclusion this year, adding a women's TOTY was a no-brainer and predicted by many in the community.

According to FutSheriff, there will be 24 TOTY cards in total. Outside of the starting XIs for both squads, there will also be 12th player additions. Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati is nailed on for a spot in the women's squad after winning this year's Ballon d'Or.

Team of the Year won't begin until later this January. Versus: Fire and Ice is the next promotion after leaks surfaced from FutSheriff. TOTY has historically began in the middle-to-late part of January, and this year's iteration will likely coincide with the end of Versus.
