Mario Strikers: Battle League Wave 1 Update: Full Details
New Characters: Daisy and Shy Guy
At launch, Mario Strikers: Battle League notably had 10 characters on its roster ready to be played, a stark contrast from Mario Strikers: Charged, which had 12 Team Captains and eight Sidekicks for players to unlock.
Fittingly enough, headlining this upcoming update is the addition of two fan-favorite characters in Daisy and Shy Guy.
Per Nintendo, Daisy will be a Technique Type character whose skillful passing and Flower Spiral Hyper Strike will keep opponents guessing.
Meanwhile, Shy Guy is said to be an all-rounder who can easily be tailored to players' personal play styles and features a Propeller Dive Hyper Strike.
New Gear: Knight
Additionally, a new Gear type will be added to Mario Strikers: Battle League called Knight, which specializes in increasing characters' Strength and Shooting at the cost of other attributes.
New Stadium: Desert Ruin
Lastly, the Desert Ruin Stadium will make its debut in this update. In addition to using the Desert Ruin Stadium in matches, players can also set it as their Club Stadium.
Mario Strikers: Battle League is available now, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
