Marvel MMO In Works at DC Universe Online Studio

The development studio behind DC Universe Online is working on a new Marvel MMO, according to an investor presentation given by the studio's parent company.
Dimensional Ink Studios, the Austin, Texas-based branch of Daybreak Game Company, is developing a "Marvel IP-based massively multiplayer online game," Eurogamer reports based on Enad Global 7's third quarter 2021 financial report.
EG7 (DCUO/Everquest devs' parent company) released their Q3 '21 financials, and confirmed the unannounced AAA Marvel MMO that appeared in the GeForce Now leak and which had previously been cancelled in 2018 as the studio faced financial hardships has officially been REVIVED!! https://t.co/ho2gZcipa5 pic.twitter.com/jjVlMLHn1u

Jack Emmert, who is currently in charge of DC Universe Online, will lead development on the Marvel MMO. He previously helped design and run City of Heroes, and co-founded Cryptic Studios before decamping for Dimensional Ink.
The presentation specifies that the game is listed as a "longer-term" project, indicating it could arrive in 2023 at the earliest.
Daybreak reportedly worked on a Marvel MMORPG several years ago, but it was cancelled in 2018, leading to a round of layoffs. Cryptic Studios also worked on Marvel Universe Online in 2006, but Microsoft cancelled it in 2008.
