As an Icon, he fits into any squad on chemistry of course, so that won't be an issue either.

For his price, Essien is a great card, and like Kenny Dalglish's Prime Moments SBC, he will be available throughout Team of the Season, meaning his SBC price will definitley decrease with time and grinding the game.

There are very few cons with the card, he won't be too heavy on the ball, yet he is strong enough to muscle the ball away from opponents, and with a shadow or anchor chemistry style he will have the speed and agility to keep up with some of the most agile and light-footed attackers in the game.
