Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle will appear the G2 Esports' starting lineup at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, according to an announcement Thursday by G2 head coach Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohmann.

Mikyx's participation was initially in question as a result of wrist injuries sustained over the course of the League of Legends season thus far. According to GrabbZ, Mikyx had traveled with the team to South Korea, but had continued treatment and attended medical checkups rather than scrim with the team.

His doctors have now approved Mikyx to participate in matches and practice provided his discomfort doesn't increase. Since arriving in Vietnam, Mikyx has returned to practice.

Hampus "promisq" Abrahamsson will remain ready to step in for Mikyx should his condition worsen.

"We always made very clear the Miky will be our starting support if not held back by medical issues, even on low practice with the team," G2 Esports' coaching staff wrote in a statement, "and we hope to count for your support during MSI."
