To date, Niantic has revealed nothing about Minccino and its evolved form, Cinccino. A Minccino release would make sense, as rat-like Pokémon similar to Minccino have appeared in recent quests — likely to tie in with the Chinese zodiac, which celebrates 2020 as Year of the Rat starting Jan. 25.

Players suspect Niantic will release Minccino during the Lunar New Year celebration, between Jan. 25 and Feb. 4. Niantic has yet to confirm anything.
