MLB The Show 20 cover star was revealed Monday when the game's announcement trailer debuted.

MLB The Show is the flagship baseball video game franchise from Sony Interactive Entertainment. Baseball stars such as David Ortiz, Miguel Cabrera, Ken Griffey Jr. and most recently Bryce Harper have graced the cover in previous entries.

Now, ahead of the game's 2020 release, there's a new cover star in town.

Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez is the MLB The Show 20 cover star.

The six-year veteran earned earned consecutive All-Star selections in 2018-2019. He followed up his MVP runner-up season by posting 29 home runs, 85 RBIs and a .281 batting average. Even though the Cubs capitulated in the playoff hunt, Baez remains one of the most notable and popular faces in the league.

Baez is also the first Chicago Cubs player to be a cover star in the franchise's history.

MLB The Show 20 releases exclusively March 17, 202 on PlayStation 4.
