The MLB The Show 21 Team Affinity Season 3 Showdown went live July 12 at 3 p.m. ET alongside the new Team Affinity program.

Team Affinity is a multi-season program that runs in Diamond Dynasty. Each season has a theme that allows players to earn special items from their favorite teams. The first season was centered around the 42 Series and 99 overall Jackie Robinson. The second focused on ballclub legends and future stars. The third and newest season is all about the 2021 MLB All-Star Game and celebrating those who have been selected.

As part of the program, San Diego Studios released a Showdown where players who complete it earn vouchers to put toward each individual division. Completing the Showdown equals a total of 20 Team Affinity Season 3 points.

Here's how to complete the Team Affinity Season 3 Showdown.

MLB The Show 21 Team Affinity Season 3 Showdown: How to Complete

Breaking from the mold, TA Season 3's Showdown focuses on boss encounters. There are four preliminary boss encounters that build runs toward the final boss. Completing each round will net players 15 runs meaning they'll only need one against the big boss.

To begin, players must first draft a squad for 500 Stubs. The draft has seven rounds broken down into the following categories:

  • First Three Rounds: Team Affinity Season 3 All-Stars
  • 4th Round: Gold Player
  • 5th Round: Silver Player
  • 6th Round: Gold Perk
  • 7th Round: Bronze Perk

Each boss round, on top of the Showdown runs, will net players the following rewards:

  • 1st Boss: Team Affinity 3 Hitter, Gold Perk, 250 Stubs
  • 2nd Boss: Team Affinity Season 3 Hitter, Diamond Perk, 250 Stubs
  • 3rd Boss: Team Affinity Season 3 Hitter, Diamond Perk, 250 Stubs, The Show Pack
  • 4th Boss: Team Affinity Season 3 Hitter, Diamond Perk, 250 Stubs, The Show Pack
  • Final Boss: 5 Showdown Vouchers, 500 Stubs

The bosses for each round are all Team Affinity Season 3 pitchers. Players only need to complete five Showdown runs to finish off a division program.
