New leaks have surfaced claiming that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to get "premium DLC" in 2023.
The news comes via Insider Gaming, who claim that they have been able to verify that Infinity Ward plans to release "premium DLC" over the next two years. The report also claims that it's a way for Activision to maintain its premium sales throughout 2023 and for the first half of 2024.
The news comes off the back of Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope who revealed that Infinity Ward plans to release most of the maps from its 2009 Modern Warfare 2 into the new game. They claim that they would also be releasing a "greatest hits" pack, set to contain classic maps from every Call of Duty developer.
At the time of writing, there are no details on what the premium DLC will contain. Neither Activision or Infinity Ward have confirmed the potential paid DLC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on Oct. 28, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
