PlayStation 5 owners have many games to look forward to in 2024. Major titles, like Rise of the Rōnin, Skull and Bones, and Unicorn Overlord, are only a few highly-anticipated games of the year. The entries below are titles that people are most hyped about.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth happens right after the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020). Cloud and the rest of the gang must stop the Shinra corporation from draining the Planet’s life source (the Lifestream) and prevent Sephiroth from taking it for himself. Like the 2020 title, Rebirth will feature real-time combat with classic turn-based elements. Players can also control Red XIII, have Yuffie as a party member, ride chocobos, and more in the upcoming title.

The revamped version will have the iconic UI design of the later Persona games, enhanced graphics, improved character designs, and updated quality-of-life features. Players will also see new scenes, interactions, and more voiceovers.

This installment marks the first time the Like a Dragon series takes place overseas. Infinite Wealth stays true to the original turn-based combat, with jobs that give characters unique moves.

This historically accurate title shows an older Japan struggling with an oppressive government, diseases, western influences, and civil war.

There are hunters, hostile wildlife, and horrible weather conditions to battle, but the strongest will come out on top.

The game follows exiled prince Alain, who’s on a mission to gather an army and reclaim his throne from General Valmore. Players can recruit various allies, command their troops in battle stages, and grow their reputations in the upcoming RPG. Vanillaware merges tactical RPG elements, overworld exploration, and an incredible art style to deliver an experience that won’t disappoint.   

Black Myth: Wukong
