For those looking to check out the new free-to-play, platform fighter, here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about the MultiVersus Open Beta.

At long last, the time is almost here for all those looking to play MultiVersus as once the Open Beta opens, Player First Games has confirmed that an end date for it is not in sight.

Beginning with the Open Beta, MultiVersus will continue to be updated with new characters, maps, seasonal content and more in the months ahead.

Additionally, all player progression and unlocks earned during the MultiVersus Open Beta will carry forward through the life of the game.

The MultiVersus Open Beta will release for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam) on July 26 at 12 p.m. ET with full cross-play and cross-progression support across all platforms.

For those who were able to try out the game during its Closed Alpha, the headliner for the Open Beta in terms of new content is The Iron Giant character, who will be playable for the first time when Early Access begins on July 19 at 12 p.m. ET.

The Early Access portion of the Open Beta will be opening up play initially to those who participated in the Closed Alpha, as well as those who gain entry via Twitch Drops.

Those on PC who played the Closed Alpha will be guaranteed entry to the Open Beta Early Access period and receive a code via email when Early Access begins to redeem on the platform of their choosing.

Those who participated in the Closed Alpha on console will have the game automatically updated and ready to download in their game library.
