Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is still over a month away, but a new leak just revealed sword and bow weapons are allegedly joining the game in the next major update.

MW3 fans are eagerly awaiting Season 1 Reloaded, set to drop in two weeks. Not only is a new collaboration with Prime Video's The Boys launching, but Ranked Play is finally coming to multiplayer. Players will once again begin the rewarding, frustrating climb to the Top 250 Leaderboard. Looking beyond the midseason update, not much has been uncovered about MW3 Season 2...until now.

Check out the major leak that promises two new weapons in February 2024.

MW3 Season 2 New Sword and Bow Weapons Leaked

A new leak suggests a sword and bow are coming in MW3 Season 2. Reliable Call of Duty leaker, el_bobberto, shared the information along with a rendered image of the possible sword making its way to MW3. According to the leaker, the sword was also found in the game files, all-but confirming the weapon's arrival in Season 2.

The report goes on to claim, "similar weapons are also said to be coming." Although it might seem farfetched that MW3 Season 2 will have multiple new medieval-esque weapons, it could all trace back to the potential The Walking Dead collaboration on the horizon.

MW3 x Walking Dead Collaboration Leaked

According to another Call of Duty leaker, HeyImAlaix, a future crossover in MW3 is connected to the upcoming release of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. The spinoff, centered on Rick Grimes and Michonne, is set to drop on Feb. 25, 2024. Leakers believe we could be seeing a Rick Grimes and Michonne Operators in MW3 Season 2.

If the leak does turn out to be true, it gives the perfect backdrop to introduce a new sword into the game.

When Does MW3 Season 2 Start?

MW3 Season 2 likely starts on Feb. 7, 2024. Although Activision has yet to confirm the release date, the end of the MW3 Season 1 Battle Pass points to the first week of February.

Players can also expect Warzone Season 2 to drop on the same day. Unlike the secrecy surrounding MW3 Season 2, we already know Warzone Season 2 is full of new content, including the return of Fortune's Keep and the arrival of Warzone Ranked.
