MW3 Warzone Forgotten Rifle is the New Meta After MTZ Interceptor Nerf

After the recent MTZ Interceptor nerf, an MW3 Warzone forgotten rifle is quickly becoming the new meta in the Battle Royale.

Ever since the launch of Urzikstan, the MTZ Interceptor has dominated Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1. The broken rifle all-but incinerates enemies in just a few well-placed bullets, and takes very little skill to use. In fact, the weapon is so OP that the developers already delivered a minor nerf to the rifle, reducing its max and min damage. Despite the changes, players are still running the MTZ Interceptor on Urzikstan and Vondel.

There is another option, though, in the marksman rifle category that now has a better TTK than the MTZ Interceptor.

The LM-S Marksman Rifle from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been a largely unpopular and forgettable choice in both MW2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. However, Warzone content creator, WhosImmortal, recently revealed just how OP the rifle is, especially after the MTZ Interceptor nerf, in his latest YouTube video.

"As it stands right now, with how the Interceptor is broken now, this already has a better TTK than the Interceptor," WhosImmortal said. "If you can land shots consistently, there really is not much else in the game right now that's going to 1v1 outgun this thing."

"The Marksman rifle category in general right now is concerning," he continued. "Almost every single option in it between MW2 and MW3 has the potential to be broken or overpowered, or currently is broken or overpowered."

With another MTZ Interceptor nerf likely on its way in MW3 Season 1 Reloaded, the LM-S or even the MCW 6.8 might just take over the game.
