MWII Ranked Play: Ranks, Maps, Rewards, Skill Divisions

Activision

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Ranked Play details were released Feb. 13, two days before the anticipated game mode goes live.

MWII Ranked Play looks like one of the best competitive playlists in Call of Duty history. The game mode features a Skill Division system where players climb divisions by earning Skill Rating (SR). Skill Division placings will reset each season. As well, there are Ranks which serve as cumulative progress. Ranks will not reset at the end of a Ranked Season. There are individual rewards tied to both Skill Divisions and Ranks.

Here's everything you need to know about MWII Ranked Play coming on Feb. 15 with MWII and Warzone 2 Season 2.

MWII Ranked Play Skill Divisions

There are eight Skill Divisions in Ranked Play. Everyone will start in Bronze when beginning their Ranked Play journeys. The Skill Divisions, and the SR threshold for each, are as follows:

  • Bronze: 0-899 SR
  • Silver: 900-2,099 SR
  • Gold: 2,100-3,599 SR
  • Platinum: 3,600-5,399 SR
  • Diamond: 5,400-7,499 SR
  • Crimson: 7,500-9,999 SR
  • Iridescent: 10,000 SR Minimum
  • Top 250: 10,000+ SR

There will be a Top 250 leaderboard where players can track who is in the select Skill Rating. Professional players who make it to the leaderboard will also have their CDL team affiliation featured which is a nice touch.

MWII Ranked Play Party Restrictions

  • Bronze - Platinum players can party up with no restrictions
  • Diamond and Crimson players can only party up with players within two Skill Divisions
  • Iridescent and Top 250 players can only party up with players within one Skill Division

MWII Ranked Play Skill Rating

MWII Ranked Play Skill Rating is determined simply: win a match and gain SR, lose a match and lose SR. According to the Call of Duty League Twitter account, both individual and team performance will impact how much SR players gain or lose.
