NBA 2K22 Ratings Update: Morant, Gobert Continue to Rise

The latest NBA 2K22 ratings update is now live, and many players have had adjustments made to their ratings. While some continue to have outstanding starts to the 21-22 season and see their ratings jump, some stars have started off slow and have gotten small decreases in ratings.

Here's the most noteworthy rating changes from the latest NBA 2K22 Roster update.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant (+1, 97 overall)

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have been sharing the spotlight to start the 21-22 season, each putting in great efforts to help their teams to the top of their conferences. The former teammates and former MVPs are both carrying heavy loads, picking up the work for lost teammates and doing it all on the floor for their teams. The Warriors currently boast the best record in the NBA at 12-3, while the Nets are tied with the Wizards for the lead in the East at 11-5. Each is averaging over 28 a game and shooting the ball well, so each deserves the +1 to their ratings, making them the joint-highest rated players in the game. Expect another boost soon because neither seems to be slowing down.

Ja Morant (+1, 90 overall)

In a league without Stephen Curry, one could argue that Ja Morant isn't just the best Point Guard in the West currently, but one of the best in the NBA with how he's started the year. The Grizzlies are currently battling in the middle of a tough western conference, and Morant's play is one of the leading reasons for it. 26.0 points per game and 7.1 assists aren't something to laugh at in the NBA, and even picking up six boards a night is icing on the cake to Morant's season so far. The Grizzlies will need him to keep this up to stay in the hunt for the Play-in tournament, but if he does, his all-star stock and NBA 2K22 rating will also continue to rise.

Demar Derozan (+1, 89 overall)

DeMar DeRozan has been an elite scorer and all-around weapon for most of his career, but as for this season, he's returning to his days in Toronto with how he's played for the Bulls. He seems to be a perfect fit alongside Zach Lavine and Lonzo Ball, and with additional pieces like Alex Caruso and Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls are primed for their best season in nearly a decade. 26.0 PPG and 50% from the field is a great stat-line for the DeRozan, and early on he is looking like an MVP candidate for the surprise Chicago Bulls out East.

Rudy Gobert (+1, 90 overall)

The Jazz are currently third in the competitive western conference at 10-5, and while some would point at Donovan Mitchell for the team's success, one of the anchors is their big man on the interior, Rudy Gobert. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year is leading the league in Rebounds at 15.1 a night and is top six Blocks at 1.9 per game. He has been a consistent anchor for the Jazz for years and is also shooting a career-best 72.5% from the field. If the Jazz feed him the ball more in the paint, it's without debate that Gobert will be an all-star.
