Alberto "neptuNo" González joined the Guangzhou Charge's Overwatch lineup Thursday.
NeptuNo spent the first two seasons of the Overwatch League playing for the Philadelphia Fusion, reaching the Grand Finals in Season 1 and falling in third-fourth in the Season 2 playoffs. He has also represented Spain in three of the last four Overwatch World Cups, skipping 2018 because of anxiety problems.
NeptuNo joined the Charge's lineup alongside South Korean tank player Nam "Cr0ng" Ki-cheol and Chinese support player Qi "Wya" Haomiao. The team has teased further acquisitions on Twitter.
The Charge's offseason has also seen the departures of off-tank Hong-joon "HOTBA" Choi, main tank Joona "Fragi" Laine, off-tank Hyung-seok "Bischu" "Aaron" Kim, support Chen "OnlyWish" Lizhen and support Won-jae "Rise" Lee.
As of Friday morning, the Guangzhou Charge lineup includes DPS players Yiliang "Eileen" Ou, Jungwoo "Happy" Lee and Charlie "nero" Zwarg; tank players Cr0ng and Seungpyo "Rio" Oh; and support players neptuNo, Wya, Jungyeon "Chara" Kim and Jinseo "Shu" Kim.
