Nickmercs' new meta SMG loadout in MW3 Warzone Season 2 might surprise you.

Nick "Nickmercs" Kolcheff made headlines when he finally returned to Call of Duty: Warzone after taking a hiatus that lasted just over eight months. The popular content creator came back to the Battle Royale just in time for Season 2, which featured the return of Fortune's Keep and the launch of Ranked Resurgence. As Nickmercs explored Urzikstan for the first time, though, he confidently revealed which underrated SMG is actually the best close-range weapon in the game.

Nickmercs Calls This MW3 Warzone SMG Loadout the New Meta in Season 2

Nickmercs called his new WSP-9 SMG loadout the new meta in MW3 Warzone Season 2. Although most players have stuck with the AMR9 or the HMR-9 for close-range engagements on Urzikstan and Fortune's Keep, the content creator swears the WSP-9 is being overlooked in the ever-changing meta.

"People have been calling this thing the new meta," Nickmercs explained in his YouTube video. "They're saying this is the one. The number one SMG after the recent update." The streamer goes on to showcase his gameplay using the SMG, and well, he just might be onto something.

  • Barrel: WSP Optac Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: DR6 Handstop
  • Ammunition: 9mm High Grain Rounds

WSP-9 SMG Gets Buffed in MW3 Warzone Season 2

Nickmercs's newfound love for the WSP-9 is not surprising given that the SMG was buffed in MW3 Warzone Season 2. Check out all the new changes to the weapon, per Activision:

  • Max Damage Range increased to 18m, up from 16.5m.
  • Near-Mid Damage Range increased to 26.7m, up from 22.9m.
  • Decreased aim down sight time 220ms, down from 240ms.
  • Broodmother .45 Kit:
    • Decreased aim down sight time to 241ms, down from 270ms.
    • Decreased movement speed penalties by 50%.
