Overwatch 2 Release Date Information: When Will Overwatch 2 Come Out?

Overwatch 2 release date is a quickly growing concern for Overwatch players old, new and prospective. The revelation of the title's existence has stoked flames of interest, and people want more info.

On Overwatch 2 - I don't know if that'll be the final name, but that's what everyone at Blizzard calls it. I do know that it's mostly (maybe all?) about PVE - easy to imagine it combining with OW1's PVP in some way

Overwatch 2 Release Date

Here's what we know about Overwatch 2 so far: It is mostly PVE rather than PVP. That's all we know, and we only know that much because of reporting by Kotaku's Jason Schreier. Blizzard has yet to officially announce the game, and Overwatch 2 is only its internal name, by no means guaranteeing it will release as such.

All of this is to say information such as a release date is still quite a ways away. If we hear anything from Blizzard this year, it will likely come at BlizzCon 2019, scheduled to take place in the first week of November. For now, let's all just take a deep breath and enjoy the Overwatch we already have.
