Players have discovered a handy trick using D.Va that deals double melee damage, making it a perfect tool to help rack up some kills.

For most Overwatch heroes, melee damage deals a consistent 30 damage to enemy players. Naturally, some characters are tailored to do a little more, but for the majority its the same amount. Melee damage, while not especially powerful, is a great way to cancel the abilities of your opponents. If they're gearing up an animation, coming in with a quick hit can stop them in their tracks.

But what if there was a way to do this and leave more of a mark at the same time? Well, one YouTuber has found a way to do just that.

Overwatch D.Va Trick Deals Instant Double Melee Damage

YouTuber McMagicMarv revealed how they were able to utilize D.Va's Ultimate in order to deal double melee damage.

D.Va’s Self-Destruct Ultimate explodes her mech, causing 1000 damage to anyone caught in the blast. After this, her form changes to Baby D.Va, leaving her with a fraction of her health and her "bunny blaster." But, as McMagicMarv demonstrates, using melee just before activating your Ultimate will carry over to Baby D.Va, dishing out 60 damage.

Knocking off 60 HP from enemy players can be a useful tactic, and goes a long way to securing some quick kills. The melee counts once inside the mech and once again outside of it.

Give it a go next time you're out in a match and see if it works for you.
