Overwatch Workshop master creator DarwinStreams is back at it again, this time with an Overwatch fighting game he calls OverFighter.
According to Darwin's description on the Overwatch subreddit, OverFighter is a 1-v-1 fighting game inspired by Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Players choose from one of five heroes and fight in an open, 3D arena.
OverFighter - 1v1 fighting game mode in OW, released! Fight as Doomfist, Reinhardt, Genji, Torbjorn or Winston. Even more heroes and moves will be added in updates. Join my discord and stream to learn all moves and mechanics! Code: Z5XK2@PlayOverwatch pic.twitter.com/DbivduXz89— Darwin (@DarwinStreams) June 8, 2019
The playable heroes are Doomfist, Reinhardt, Winston in permanent Primal Rage, Genji in permanent Dragonblade, and Torbjörn wielding his hammer. Each hero gets a special attack with its own unique inputs, the same way they might work in Street Fighter.
Each hero also gets a unique finisher — inspired by Mortal Kombat — and a dash ability lifted from Tekken that lets them move quickly, even becoming a sprint when dashing forward.
Players can try out the mode for themselves with the code Z5XK2, or by heading to Darwin's Reddit post.
