Overwatch Redditor Generates Hitboxes for Every Hero in the Workshop

An Overwatch Reddit user posted a helpful thread containing renders of every hero's hitbox in the game via the Workshop.

Hitboxes in video games are important to know because, in Overwatch's case, they're what players hit to damage an opponent. The bigger the character, the bigger the hitbox.

Reddit user spadler097, through the merits of the Overwatch Workshop, created hitbox renders of every hero in the game. Take a look.

"I wrote a Workshop code to scan a cross-section of a heroes’ hitbox, used an external script to help taking screenshots from multiple angles, and stitch them together to produce the animations as shown," spadler097 said in their post.

Each hero has a short video depicting each hitbox in the game.

"I am planning on making another version with the front/back view available and a cleaner background — the current background is too visually crowded. I will also update the albums when any new heroes are added, or if the patch note mentions hitbox changes (unlikely tho). When the post is archived, please visit my profile for updates," spadler097 said.
