Here's our picks for the best and worst Tanks in Overwatch this February 2022.

Tanks play a pivotal, strategic role in Overwatch. It's their job to lead and protect the team in the pursuit of their objectives. Where supports are tasked with watching the field and keeping the team alive, tanks put the advice of supports into motion and enable damage dealers to do their jobs efficiently.

So, here's who we think you should pick within the current meta this month.

Overwatch Tank Tier List: February 2022

S-Tier

  • Reinhardt

Surprise! Reinhardt is, once again, the best tank to use in the current meta of Overwatch. It's like how the old saying goes: if it's not broken, don't fix it.

A-Tier

  • D.Va
  • Zarya

D.Va and Zarya make decent replacements for the tank who isn't partial to barrier mechanics or doesn't want to be locked to the front of the line. Both of these picks have higher mobility potential than Rein, which can come in handy in non-traditional situations that require that crafty turnaround. In the current meta, they aren't always the best picks, but can succeed in ways that make them valuable to know.

B-Tier

  • Sigma
  • Roadhog
  • Wrecking Ball

Sigma, Roadhog, and Wrecking Ball are our situational picks—even moreso than D.va and Zarya. Sigma's ability to block off certain areas, Roadhog's crowd control and subsequent crowd-ending primary ability, and Wrecking Ball's general capability of being annoying without necessarily feeding the other team have their own places in Overwatch. The issue, here, is that it can be difficult to figure out where to use them.

C-Tier

  • Winston
  • Orisa

Unsurprisingly, Winston and Orisa grace our final tier. Orisa, again, as lovely as she seems, simply can't outpace the other barrier tanks. She certainly isn't anywhere close to the same place as the poster boy of the role: Reinhardt. Even Sigma seems to be able to bring more to the table. In contrast, a good Winston often excels in-game--though, not for the reason the role calls for.

Perhaps some of these characters will get some much-needed reworks with the release of Overwatch 2?
