Blizzard released a recent Overwatch update that nerfs Echo and Moira's ultimate charge, and buffs Reaper.
Echo, Moira, and Reaper are some of the notable characters to be balanced out in-game. These changes will help the game's competitive nature progress smoothly.
Echo and Moira have been nerfed in the latest patch notes on June 3. These changes include an ultimate increase in both heroes, "The Duplicate ultimate has proven to be more impactful than expected and was coming up quickly due to Echo’s high damage output." community manager, Josh Nash comments.
- Ultimate cost increased by 15%
- Resource regeneration is now three times higher while channeling Coalescence
- Ultimate cost increased by 17%
The ultimate's will cost a little bit more because developers want more healing and support rather than ultimate abilities quickly being used. Another notable hero is Reaper, gaining increases on the character, "This adjustment brings Reaper’s self-healing with his Hellfire Shotguns back to about where it was before the recent weapon tuning changes." Nash comments.
- Life Steal amount increased from 30% to 35%
The minor 5% increase can be a split-second of surviving combat against other players, creating critical moments in competition. Life Steal adding more health to Reaper will increase those odds in combat.
Other honorary mentions in the patch notes are Baptise, McCree, and Zarya can be checked out on Overwatch forums.
