Palkia has appeared a few times in Pokémon GO. Niantic Labs has rarely wasted an encounter with this legendary Pokemon ruling all of space.

Palkia first appeared in the series installments Diamond and Pearl. It played opposite its force counterpart, Dialga, ruler of time. Players had the opportunity to first catch Palkia in Pearl while Dialga was available through Diamond.

Both Dialga and Palkia were available as assist trophies in Smash Brothers and often appear at the Spear Pillar battle stage. When summoned to the stage, Palkia could cause several effects such as earthquakes, screen-mirroring, affecting gravity, and causing damage via hyper beam.

Palkia Pokémon GO: Everything You Need to Know

Palkia, the Spatial Pokemon, first appeared in Niantic's Pokemon GO mobile game at the beginning of 2019. It started out as a brand new raid encounter that trainers could find and battle from Jan. 29 through to Feb. 28. It is a water and dragon-type, so trainers were advised to bring dragon and fairy types as a counter.

Palkia has a CP ceiling of 3991, 280 points of attack, 215 defense, and 189 in stamina. Its superior moveset is Dragon Tail or Dragon Breath and Hydro Pump.

The best counters for Palkia include Salamence, Dragonite, Rayquaza, Gardevoir, and its temporal counterpart Dialga. Trainers are advised to stick to dragon and fairy-type moves such as Dragon Breath, Dragon Tail, Draco Meteor, Outrage, and Dazzling Gleam.

Its PokeDex number is 484. It cannot be placed in gyms to defend, much like other legendaries. Shiny Palkia's design palette remains mostly the same with the inclusion of much more pink where it previously was white.
