Phr Joins Virtus.pro CS:GO Roster

Tomasz 'phr' Wójcik has passed the trial period and signed a complete contract to join Virtus.pro. Phr was a stand-in when VP won the Polska Liga Esportowa S5 and placed 3-4th place in Good Game League 2019.

General manager Roman Dvoryankin explained the signing: "We considered multiple options following OKOLICIOUZ’s leave, and Tomasz was clearly the best choice. We hope his arrival will form the needed chemistry in the lineup so the team can continue rise in HLTV rating."

Virtus.pro has fallen far down the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ladder after years of being one of the world's best. The team failed to get past the closed qualifier for the Berlin Major after placing 9th-12th. Just recently the team failed to get past the open qualifier for DreamHack Masters Malmö.

With brands looking to snag the best talent and compete at the highest levels, Virtus.pro seems to be set on finding Polish talent. There were rumors that this mentality had changed, but for now, the team remains entirely Polish.
