Update 1.1.2 of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is live now and has provided players with fixes to in-game issues and bugs. One of those glitches is one that some players took advantage of a lot, a duplication glitch.

The duplication glitch was allowing players clone their Pokémon one at a time, along with whatever they may have in their possession at the time. The glitch was first discovered soon after the game's launch, and now, Nintendo is working to patch it as well as other glitches and bugs in the game.

The official Pokemon Twitter shared the following two points covered by the update from their website, which was released on Dec. 1:

  • Fixed some issues that would prevent the game from progressing under certain circumstances.
  • Some issues have also been fixed for more pleasant gameplay.

The fix of the duplication glitch isn't listed here explicitly, but it may be covered as an issue that was "fixed for more pleasant gameplay."

The update is available to download the next time you log into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
