Pokemon GO April Community Day 2023

Niantic, Pokémon Company

The Community Day date for April in Pokémon GO has been revealed, as well as the featured Pokémon for the day, which is going to be Togetic.

Trainers can expect there to be many additional bonuses to accompany the day, as is typical for these routine Community Days for the app, as well as bonuses for catching the spotlight Pokémon of the day.

Togetic is a Fairy- and Flying-type Pokémon who was originally Normal and Flying-type until the addition of Fairy-types in Generation VI. This Pokémon evolves from Togepi, an iconic companion of Misty in the Pokémon anime, and will evolve into Togekiss, one of Champion Cynthia's strongest team members.

Below are some specific details of not only the additional bonuses for the Community Day, but on Togetic in Pokémon GO in general.

Pokemon GO April Community Day 2023

Players will see an increased rate of Togetic spawning in Pokémon GO on April 15, from 2 p.m. to 5p.m. local time.

Here are the event bonuses for the Community Day:

  • Doubled candy for catching Pokémon
  • Trainers leveled 31+ have a doubled chance of receiving XL Candy from catching Pokémon
  • Eggs in Incubators will have their hatching distances be reduced to only a fourth of the original distance required
  • Trades made during the event will take half as much Stardust, and an additional special trade can be made during the day
  • Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours

As an added part of the Community Day, Togepi will have an increased chance of hatching from two kilometer eggs during the hours of community day, as well as the chance of these Togepi being shiny being the same as Togetic during the event hours.

Evolving Togetic by using 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone, during the event hours, and up to five hours after, will give players a Togekiss who knows Aura Sphere as a Charged Move.

An addition Special Research Task ticket that is related to the Community Day Togetics can be purchased for $1, or the equivalent in local currency.
