Pokémon Go Battle League is down for a short period of time. The first season of the Battle League is now under way, but many players are experiencing lag and disconnections.
Pokémon Go Battle League Down: When Will it Return?
Niantic has responded quickly to the first bug reports, getting a fix for the rating and rankings in only three hours. They've also removed the walking requirements for initiating a battle in response to worldwide quarantines.
As of March 14, the Go Battle League shouldn't give any players ranking problems. Despite the system fixes, players still have to contend with unstable servers. Server and rating issues aside, players are annoyed that pre-season ranking have been set to Rank 1 for everybody.
Season 1 of the Pokémon Go Battle League is off to a rough start. If you manage to get a high rank in the league, you can earn some rare prizes like Elite TMs. To coincide with the first Battle League, Fighting type Pokémon will spawn more frequently in the wild.
The first round of the Pokémon Go Battle League Season 1 will run until 1 p.m. PDT March 27.
