Pokémon GO December Community Day 2021 will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, and Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, Niantic announced Thursday.

While November is still set to have plenty of content for trainers as the Season of Mischief winds down, from its Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Celebration Event to its crossover event with Ed Sheeran, there's plenty more to be excited for next month. Here's a breakdown of the upcoming December Community Day 2021 event in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO December Community Day 2021

December's Community Day is scheduled to run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on both Saturday, Dec. 18, and Sunday, Dec. 19.

Being that this is the final Community Day event for the year, Pokémon GO is set to have many familiar faces make their returns this time around instead of having a new single featured Pokémon.

Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2021 (e.g. Shinx) will be appearing more frequently in the wild, while Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2020 will be hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids.

Appearing more frequently on Saturday, Dec. 18, will be:

  • Machop
  • Roselia
  • Swablu
  • Gible
  • Snivy
  • Fletchling

Appearing more frequently on Sunday, Dec. 19, will be:

  • Eevee (Will know Last Resort if caught during the event)
  • Duskull
  • Shinx
  • Tepig
  • Oshawott

Hatching from 2 km Eggs during the event will be:

  • Charmander
  • Weedle
  • Abra
  • Gastly
  • Rhyhorn
  • Magikarp

  • Budew

Appearing in raids during the event will be:

  • Charmander
  • Weedle
  • Abra
  • Gastly
  • Rhyhorn
  • Electabuzz
  • Magmar
  • Magikarp
  • Porygon
  • Seedot
  • Piplup

As such, this is shaping up to be a great event for those who've missed out on any Pokémon featured in Community Day events from the last two years.

Given that this is Pokémon GO's last community day of the year, Niantic will be giving players five additional special bonuses during the event:

  • Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
  • 2x Catch Stardust
  • 2x Catch XP

Finally, players who participate in the community day will again be able to claim 30 Ultra Balls from the shop at no cost, as well as purchase a special Community Day Box featuring 50 Ultra Balls, six Star Pieces, an Elite Fast TM and an Elite Charged TM for 1,280 PokéCoins.
