Niantic Labs recently featured the electric-type Pokemon, Electabuzz, on Nov. 15, 2020, as part of their ongoing monthly Community Day feature. Trainers will likely remember Electabuzz through its association with Spark, Team Instinct's Leader, and his buddy Pokemon, Elekid. It's interesting to note Electabuzz was originally a one-form Pokemon from the Kanto region. It didn't receive a pre-evolved form until the Johto region and an evolved form until the Sinnoh region.

Electivire's best moveset includes the quick move Thunder Shock and the charged move Wild Charge. The charged move Thunder is also an acceptable choice.

As, a pure electric-type, it can withstand hits from flying, steel, and other electric-types. It is vulnerable to ground-types.

Electivire has the following stats:

  • Maximum CP: 3481
  • Maximum HP: 164
  • Attack: 249
  • Defense: 163
  • Stamina: 181

Trainers will likely find success with Electivire when placing it on their PvE team. Thunder Shock can quickly build up energy for this Pokemon to expel via Wild Charge. Both generate a decent amount of same-type attack bonus (STAB) damage, allowing for greater DPS. Electivire does best when placed on offense rather than defense.

With a PokeDex number of #466, Electivire hails from the Sinnoh region. It is best known for its immense electrical power. According to its description, one Electivire holds enough energy to singlehandedly power an entire city for a year.

Update 12/6/2021: This article has been updated to reflect the CP and HP total of Electivire at trainer level 50.
