Noibat, the Sound Wave Pokémon, has been revealed to be the featured Pokémon for the upcoming Community Day event on Feb. 5, in Pokémon GO according to Niantic.
The purple bat-like Dragon- and Flying-type Pokémon was released with the generation VI main series games, Pokémon X and Y.
Noibat being the featured Pokémon for the February Community Day will aid players in not only catching new Noibat, but grinding for candies to evolve their Noibat into a Noivern.
Pokémon GO February 2023 Community Day Explained
On Feb. 5th, from the hours of 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., players will get to experience the Community Day event in their Pokémon GO app, receiving a myriad of bonuses.
Staple Community Day Event Bonuses of tripled Stardust and doubled Candy rewarded for catching Pokémon, Lure Modules and Incenses activated for the event duration and an additional Special Trade still stand.
However, on top of these typical Community Day Event Bonuses, players leveled 31 and above will have a doubled chance to receive Candy XL upon catching Pokémon. Trades will also require 50% less Stardust for the duration of the event and five hours after.
Noibat can be evolved into Noivern by giving it 400 Candies. Evolving Noibat during the event (and up to five hours after) will have their Noivern learn the Charged Attack Boomburst.
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the day of the event, players will be able to encounter Noibat in four-star raid battles, with additional Noibat being able to be caught around the host gym for 30 minutes.
The shiny variation of Noibat will have an increased chance of spawning during the event.
