Day 2 of Niantic Labs' Pokemon GO Fest is here and things are already off to a Rocket-y start. Team GO Rocket has taken over the event, dropping confetti from the sky and conquering PokeStops at the speed of light. Here's what you can expect from their special brand of nonsense.

Pokemon GO Fest Day 2 Guide

Unsurprisingly, your research tasks today will mostly consist of battling Rocket Grunts, taking back PokeStops, and rescuing Shadow Pokemon to purify. Eventually, you'll be tasked with taking on bigger fish to fry: in the form of the three Rocket Executives Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra.

This is where the day gets much more interesting. After defeating the executives, trainers will be rewarded with a chance encounter with Shadow Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno, respectively. Unsurprisingly, these are meant to give trainers a chance to catch the three legendary birds if they haven't already.

Defeating the executives will lead to an even larger encounter with Rocket Boss Giovanni and his Shadow Mewtwo. This, too, will lead to an encounter with Shadow Mewtwo where players can catch and then purify it if they have the resources.

Additionally, Victini has been spotted in snapshots.

Raid bosses for two through four-star tiers today are Alolan Exeggutor, Gible, Chansey, Skarmory, Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur. Five-star tier raid bosses include Dialga, Palkia, and both forms of Giratina.

Pokemon available in the wild today are event Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, Oddish, Growlithe, Alolan Grimer, Alolan Marowak, Alolan Exeggutor, Chansey, Tangela, Snorlax, Togetic, Unown, Qwilfish, Sableye, Carvanha, Numel, Swablu, Zangoose, Seviper, Buneary, Gible, Snover, Woobat, Alomomola, Ferroseed, Litwick, Stunfisk, Heatmor, Durant, and Rotom.
