Promo codes are occasionally given out by Niantic to redeem free rewards in Pokémon GO. Redeeming codes works differently between Android and IOS users. Android users can redeem promotional codes within the in-game store. IOS users must log into their account on an external site to redeem rewards.
There are currently no working promo codes for Pokémon GO in July 2020. Don't let this stop you from catching them all. Verizon customers have access to the play-from-home bundle which includes a free Premium Battle Pass, two incense, and 65 Poké Balls.
Niantic recently announced that once a day trainers can encounter a Pokémon that will only appear for them.
