Pokemon Go Safari Zone New Dates Announced

Pokemon GO's in-person Safari Zone events are back. Here's what you need to know.
On Thursday, Niantic finally announced the new dates for the rescheduled Safari Zone event which was due to take place last year. The Safari Zone is an in-person event taking place for Pokemon GO where players can meet at certain locations and explore what the event has to offer.
Naturally, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 Safari Zone events had to be post-poned, with a number of Pokemon GO events switching to virtual-only formats. Now, with new safety protocols in place, Niantic is making the slow return to in-person live events.
Where Will the Pokemon Go Safari Zone Events Take Place?
The events have been rescheduled to later this year, and will take place in three locations:
- Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Liverpool - Sefton Park,
- Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Philadelphia - Fairmount Park,
- Pokémon GO Safari Zone: St. Louis - Tower Grove Park,
Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, to Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021
Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, to Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021
Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, to Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021
Ticket holders to any of the events will be able to take advantage of a number of features including featured Pokemon, event-exclusive Special Research and Field Research tasks, a special 2km Egg, and extended activation times for Incense and Lure Modules.

In further good news, any ticket holders who can't make the event can still attend virtually from anywhere in the world. Players who aren't near any of the event locations can still enjoy Safari Zone, as long as they have a ticket. Niantic has also stated that any player who previously purchased the City Explorer Pass will be refunded, due to it being removed from these upcoming events.
Pokemon GO players planning to attend any of the in-person events must RSPV in order for all safety restrictions to be managed and adhered to.
