The Pokémon GO tiny Pokémon glitch is that many trainers are reporting as of late due to the final part of Niantic's Ultra Unlock event going on.

As part of the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event, which began on Friday, Aug. 20, and ends Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have been making their Pokémon GO debuts.

Unfortunately, however, it appears a lot of Pokémon GO trainers are reporting an issue that causes a visual glitch whenever trainers encounter a Galar region Pokémon in the wild.

Pokémon GO Tiny Pokémon Glitch: What is it?

It seems the majority of Pokémon GO trainers are encountering a bug that the makes the Galar region Pokémon spawn really small. While this may sound like a minor inconvenience, the issue becomes major when they try to catch the tiny Pokémon, as the screen then glitches, causes weird artifacts to appear and even freezes.

Additionally, it appears trainers not only cannot catch the tiny Pokémon, but also can’t move the screen or exit the glitch without closing the app.

Thankfully, Niantic Support has acknowledged the issue on Twitter, and said they are working on a fix. However, at the time of writing, a solution for the glitch remains without an ETA.

In the meantime, the developers did mention a workaround that involves refreshing the game data from the Advanced Settings.

As it stands, Niantic have also reported that due to a bug causing Falinks to appear distorted during raids, it’ll no longer be appearing in three-star raids during this event.
