Pokémon Go Trade Costs depend upon friendship lengths and item rarity.

Within the Pokémon game franchise, trading exists as a means for players to evolve their own Pokémon and obtain exclusive regional items not available to them. Additionally, players can also obtain more rare items via trading.

Nonetheless, trading costs between players requires Stardust - the currency used to evolve and power up different Pokémon.

Between players, trading will incur different costs of Stardust based on friendship length and level of the item(s). The following Friendship Levels are as follows:

  • Good Friend - 1 day
  • Great Friend - 7 days
  • Ultra Friend - 30 days
  • Best Friend - 90 days

As players progress their level of friendship, the Stardust cost of trading is reduced. Here's a basic rundown of the cost of trading based on Pokémon rarity and friendship length.

Standard Pokémon

  • Good Friend - 100
  • Great Friend - 80
  • Ultra Friend - 8
  • Best Friend - 4

Shiny or Legendary (Owned)

  • Good Friend - 20,000
