Pokemon GO Unova Collection Challenges have been released in accordance with the approaching major Unova Pokemon release.
Niantic Labs have implemented a new series of challenges for trainers to complete alongside collecting the soon to be released Unova Pokemon. While the first bulk came around September of 2019, it's safe to say that a single group wasn't enough to satisfy trainers for long. It's finally time to meet the newest additions—and get some unique rewards to boot.
Here's how the Unova Collection Challenges are going to work.
Pokemon GO Unova Collection Challenges
The challenges were originally leaked on r/TheSilphRoad, one of the most popular Pokemon subreddit boards. Supposedly, the challenges will exclusive to the app's "Today" page and feature a section of Pokemon that trainers can catch for rewards. It will essentially work like Bingo where every noted species caught counts toward the completion of the card.
According to the post on the subreddit, trainers will need to physically acquire each species from the overland map. Evolving or trading will not tick any boxes. It all has to come from the trainer's own effort.
The event is set to begin on Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. More information about other events planning for this month can be found on Niantic's Pokemon GO news blog.
