With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet releasing in just a few months, players might want to know just how large the download size of the upcoming Pokémon are. According to Pokémon Scarlet's listing on the Nintendo website, the game will take up 10 GB of storage. Pokémon Violet will take up the same amount of space.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are releasing just months after the launch of the previous Pokémon title, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. That game only took up 6.1 GB of storage with its digital release, which is especially notable since Pokémon Arceus made the gameplay more similar to games like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which involves more graphical enhancements than the usual 2.5D nature of most Pokémon games.

The digital versions of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will individually take up 10 GB, the most of any previous Pokémon title. With the larger file size, it can be assumed that the two new Pokémon games will feature improved graphics as well as a larger region for players to explore.

If you don't want to worry about the large download file, you can always purchase a physical version from various retailers such as Walmart and Amazon.
