Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are set to be the iconic franchise's ninth-generation titles and first-ever open-world RPGs. As such, it's perhaps no surprise that Nintendo is coming out with a special edition of the Switch OLED console inspired by the new games. Here's a breakdown of how much the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch will cost, as well as its release date.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch: How Much Does it Cost?

The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition system will be available to purchase for $359.99.

For comparison, that’s $10 more than the standard Nintendo Switch OLED Model.

Unfortunately, a copy of either game (starting at $59.99) is not included with the purchase of the special-edition console.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch: When Does it Release?

The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition system will be released on Nov. 4, 2022, a couple of weeks before the worldwide release of the games on Nov. 18.

Ultimately, the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition system should be worth the investment for any fans of the iconic franchise.

On the surface of the glossy white dock, the all-new Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon are displayed in their respective version colors. The bottom-left side of the back of the dock has a Poké Ball motif.

On the back of the system, a special illustration features the three new starter Pokémon: Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.

Lastly, the system's included special-edition Joy-Con controllers sport the main colors of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and are decorated with the respective crests of the schools from the games, Naranja Academy and Uva Academy.
