Pokemon Sword and Shield's Gym Challenge content has been shown off in today's new trailer for the Nintendo Switch Pokemon RPG. This includes a deeper dive into the new generation's gym challenge and some possible story characters.
In addition to the existing gym leaders, Milo (Grass) and Nessa (Water), we'll be facing off against either Bea, a fighting type specialist, or Allister, a ghost type trainer — based on whether you're playing on Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield.
Certain towns will have different Gyms that you can challenge depending on whether you’re playing Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield!— Pokémon (@Pokemon) July 8, 2019

We also got to meet the President and Vice President of the Pokemon League in the Galar region: Chairman Rose and Oleana.
"Rose is the chairman of the Galar Pokémon League and also the president of a large business conglomerate," Rose's official description reads. "He’s made the Galar Pokémon League world-famous by implementing Gym Battles featuring the Dynamax phenomenon.
He’s also the one who first endorsed Leon for the Gym Challenge. It seems he has quite the eye for talent!"
Oleana is described as being, "Rose’s secretary and is known for her calm and collected personality. She also serves as the vice president of Rose’s company and is in fact largely in charge of the day-to-day running of the company."
Presumably these two will either serve an important role in the game's upcoming story, or they'll fill a similar role to the Elite Four, with Leon acting as the champion and final boss.
