Pokemon Sword and Shield Next Patch: 3 Biggest Hopes

Pokemon Sword and Shield's next patch has not had a confirmed date, however after this installment in the franchise we have scene Game Freak push the possibility of what Pokemon can be. The new open world freedom of Pokemon and Sword shows a game full of potential. Pokemon Sword and Shield has been great, like all games their are still things as a player we crave to added because there is never enough! Here are my biggest hopes in the next Patch of Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Next Patch: 3 Biggest Hopes

Pokemon Sword and Shield has shown us a new scale of Online ingenuity with addition of the Raid Battles. Not only are the raid battles fun I believe will see some new additions in the game that could make Sword and Shield even more invigorating.

More Pokemon: Pokemon Sword and Shield lacks a national dex which means that we are only limited to the Pokemon available to the game. With the new patch I hope we gain access to more Pokemon especially, other starters. As good as Sword and Shield is, we still are locked into a set number of Pokemon instead of having access to the entire Pokedex. Imagine going to the Wild Area and seeing a Dragonite flying at Lake of Outrage or seeing Blissey roaming Bridge Field by the Day Care Center.

Mega Evolutions: When Game Freak released mega evolutions the positive response by the fans was apparent. Mega evolution was one of Pokemon's most innovative ideas and created some of Pokemon's most overpowered creatures. However, the designs and the new typing were to be desired. Gigantamaxing is interesting, but is limited to situations in Pokemon Sword and Shield, by adding mega evolution it will allow players to have another engine in which they can use their Pokemon. I think most fans miss mega evolutions as it was one of Pokemon's best contributions.

Patch up the lag: One of the most abundant issues in Pokemon Sword and shield was the lag. There were instances in Sword and Shield where the game would glitch or lag, a problem that most Poke gamers do not normally deal with. It is important that in the next patch that Game Freak looks to mend this issue.
