Polteageist and Cramorant Announced for Pokemon Sword and Shield

Polteageist and Cramorant are the two newest Pokemon announced for the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be the first main series release on the Nintendo Switch for the franchise. As hype continues to build for the new entries, two new Pokemon were announced during Wednesday's Nintendo Direct event.

Here's the first look at two new Pokemon coming in Sword and Shield: Polteageist and Cramorant.

Polteageist Pokemon Sword and Shield

"Polteageist is a Ghost type Pokémon that usually makes its home by hiding amongst dishes at hotels & restaurants. Since its body is made of tea, you may even be able to have a taste. Be careful, too much and you might not feel so well," Nintendo said in a reveal.

Cramorant Pokemon Sword and Shield

"Cramorant is a Flying & Water type Pokémon that will swallow absolutely anything that looks hearty enough. It also has its own exclusively ability, Gulp Missile. Watch it use Surf or Dive in battle as it rises from the water, along with its catch," Nintendo said.

Pokemon Camp Pokemon Sword and Shield

Additionally, two new features were announced during Nintendo Direct. Pokemon Sword and Shield players will be one with nature with the Pokemon Camp feature. It's designed as a feature that will let players' Pokemon socialize and become stronger. Players will also get to cook their own curry rice dishes in the feature since it's a popular dish in the Galar region.

Pokemon Sword and Shield launches exclusively Nov. 15 for Nintendo Switch.
