PUBG Console Update 8.3 adds Erangel Ferries, Jammer Packs, and more.

PUBG Console Update 8.3 is arriving this week and PUBG Corp. has listed the multitude of changes coming with it in their official patch notes. There are a number of gameplay changes, like the return of destructible wooden shacks in Erangel. Assists will also be tracked more consistently, as a new UI will show you when you are credited with an assist. PUBG Corp. has also added the ability to access Training Mode while queueing for Ranked Matches.

There are more game-altering changes coming with the update as well, and we've got them listed for you below.

PUBG Console Update 8.3: 3 Biggest Changes

1. Erangel Ferries

This update's biggest addition is the arrival of Erangel Ferries. There are four ferries at the docks, and players can ride them as they constantly make their round trips between Southern Erangel and Sosnovka Island.

2. Jammer Packs

This update also introduces the Jammer Pack. This rare loot will prevent Blue Zone damage for short period of time, but takes up level 3 bag space. Jammer Packs will spawn on Sanhok and Karakin Normal and Custom Matches. "When three or fewer squads remain, they’ll enter a Sudden Death arena where the winner takes all, regardless of how many chances you have left."

3. PUBG Labs Arena Mode

Arena Mode is an exciting new mode coming to PUBG Labs for a limited time. The 64-player showdown will have squads compete with up to two other squads for victory in their arena. The victors will move on to the next round with a stronger position than the losers.
