PUBG Corp Announces Footstep Bug Fix on Carpeted Surfaces

PUBG Corp announced an upcoming fix for a bug causing footsteps on carpeting to be nearly inaudible. The developer plans to add the fixes to the game later this month but has yet to set a firm date.
PUBG streamer and influencer WackyJacky101 first highlighted the problems with footsteps in a video published Nov. 1. PUBG Corp thanked WackyJacky101 specifically for highlighting the problems that needed addressing.
Later this month, we're implementing a change to resolve an issue where footsteps on carpeted surfaces are near-inaudible in certain situations.

We'll also be providing an updated sound improvement plan, detailing our plan for further sound improvements based on your feedback.
Footstep sounds have been a sticking point for PUBG players in the past. WackyJacky101 himself has made videos in the past diving deep into perceived problems with the game's sound design that have brought about other changes to footstep sounds.
PUBG Corp will share its new sound improvement plan in the near future, though it neglected to share a release date.
"We appreciate all player feedback, as we work to improve the overall gameplay experience," the developer wrote on Twitter.
