PUBG Corp Considers Ping System Toggle for PUBG Xbox

PUBG Corp could add a toggle for the game's new ping system on PUBG Xbox, an employee announced Wednesday.

On Tuesday, a PUBG player publicly asked PUBG Corp to allow the ping system to be turned off. "I accidentally ping things all the time with my fat fingers," they wrote. "Would be cool to be able to disengage [pings] when I'm playing with my squaddies who all have mics."

Several players voiced their support for a toggle, writing that accidentally pinging had even led to in-game deaths because the markers can obscure vision during a fight.

A few hours later, PUBG Xbox community coordinator Grant "Takarii" Hickey responded with information from the developer.

"Hey guys," Hickey wrote. "Feedback has been passed along to the team and they are looking into it as I speak."

If and when the feature will be implemented remains unclear.
