PUBG PS4 Players to Receive Free PLAYERUNKNOWN Set

PUBG Corp will celebrate the one-year anniversary of PUBG PlayStation 4's launch by gifting players with a free set of cosmetics, the developer announced Thursday.

Beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET, players who log into PUBG PS4 will be able to redeem the PLAYERUNKNOWN set. The same set on PUBG PC has long been one of the most sought-after in the game, selling for triple digit sums on the marketplace.

The PLAYERUNKNOWN set promotion will run until Monday at 6:59 p.m. ET. Starting immediately afterward, players will be able to redeem the SCAR-L Year One skin. That promotion will run through Jan. 9.

"On December 7, 2018, we launched PUBG on PlayStation 4," PUBG community coordinator Andy "Andymh5" Hall wrote on the PUBG Console subreddit. "It was a huge effort across the entire team at PUBG, and it's hard to believe that one year has already flown by."
