PUBG Update 7.2 Makes Gas Cans Pourable

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS players will be able to pour gasoline from canisters, creating flammable trails of gas, when PUBG Update 7.2 arrives on PC live servers May 20. Console players will see the same update May 26.
PUBG players will be able to equip gas cans in the melee weapon slot, then use the primary attack button to pour gas on the ground. Seven seconds of pouring will empty the can.

Fuel poured on the ground will last 3.5 minutes before evaporating. In that time, players can ignite the fuel with gun shots, molotovs and grenade explosions. The resulting fire deals the same damage as a molotov cocktail but burns for around 20 seconds.
Players will be able to throw gas cans in the same way they can throw other melee weapons. The gas can will release fuel upon landing. Gas cans can't be picked up or reused after being thrown, but can still explode.
The initial explosion from gas cans now deals a maximum of 40 damage, which scales down as distance increases, but the fire can spread in the same way a molotov cocktail's fire spreads, dealing damage over time.
PUBG Update 7.2 hit test servers Wednesday, bringing bots to PC and a new ranked system to both PC and console.
